Tomintoul 2008 White Port Cask Finish The finest White Port barriques from Portugal have been specially selected to finish Tomintoul Single Malt, distilled in 2008, and initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks. The White Port barriques perfectly complement Tomintoul Single Malt imparting rich fruit flavours, which enhance the character and complexity of the whisky. Nose : Enticing aromas of red berry fruits, freshly baked bread and strawberry tarts with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Palate : Sweet and complex with notes of cooked fruits, bramble jam and shortbread biscuits mingled with panna cotta, ginger and toasted oak. Finish : Layers of raspberry coulis, creme caramel and cocoa powder structured with cedarwood and pink peppercorn spices.
